Eligibility and enrolment
Self-enrolment is for learners aged 18 or above unless a separately approved supervised programme states otherwise. Creating an account does not guarantee admission, funding, a placement or appointment. Published course status, entry requirements and selection criteria apply.
Participation
Learners are expected to provide accurate information, complete their own work, respect others, follow course schedules and use Institute systems responsibly. Accessibility needs may be shared through the indicated support routes.
Academic integrity and assessment
Assessment evidence must be original, attributable and complete. Plagiarism, impersonation, fabricated evidence or unauthorised assistance may lead to investigation, reassessment, suspension or withdrawal of a credential. Assessment and appeal routes will be applied proportionately.
Practical learning
A course completion record does not by itself establish practical competence. Practical activities may require eligibility review, induction, health and safety controls, host rules, supervision, evidence and assessor verification. A Practical Competency Record is issued only after the defined requirements are satisfied.
Credentials
The Institute distinguishes a Certificate of Completion, Certificate of Achievement and Practical Competency Record. A credential is not described as a regulated or externally recognised qualification unless that status has been formally verified. Credentials may be corrected, suspended or withdrawn where records are erroneous or integrity requirements were not met.
Fees, sponsorship and refunds
Any fee, sponsorship condition, cancellation term or refund rule must be disclosed for the specific programme before payment or acceptance. No general page should be read as promising funding or free participation.
Safety and safeguarding
Learners must follow safety instructions, codes of conduct and incident-reporting procedures. The Institute may pause an activity where risks, supervision or safeguarding controls are inadequate.
Information, media and intellectual property
Learner information is handled under the Privacy Policy. Marketing, photography, testimonials, research participation and public portfolio sharing require separate optional choices. Withholding an optional media or marketing choice does not remove ordinary learning access.
Changes, withdrawal and complaints
Programme delivery may change for academic, safety, staffing, host or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated. Learners may request support, withdraw, or use the complaints and academic-appeal route. Serious misconduct or security risks may result in suspension after an appropriate process.
Acceptance
The current version and time of acceptance are recorded for new account or enrolment activity. Existing learners are not backdated as having accepted these terms; renewed acceptance is requested when needed for a future activity.
This framework supports transparent operations and should receive final review by a qualified Kenyan data-protection professional as the Institute’s services and processors develop.
